cardcommunications partners with HOPE Volleyball

cardcommunications inc. announces its partnership with the 2006 Alcatel HOPE Volleyball SummerFest on July 8. cardcommunications will support HOPE by sponsoring the charity’s emails for the second year in a row.

“HOPE is great people working for a great cause,” says Carolyn Gardner, founder and president of cardcommunications. “It just makes perfect sense to sponsor it. This year we are pleased to be supporting Help the Aged (Canada), Kid’s Help Phone, the Parkinson’s Society, Harvester House and the Hospice at Maycourt. ”

Last year, cardcommunications broadcasted 21 email campaigns for HOPE Volleyball events in Ottawa, Halifax, and the Dominican Republic.

“This year we had cardcommunications send out a pre-registration email to past participants,” says Karen Wood, marketing director for HOPE, “In less than a week, we had 200 teams pre-register. The value of email is obvious to us, and we are grateful cardcommunications can help.”

HOPE is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit events management organization that raises funds for community-based charities. Inspired by Terry Fox's run across Canada, in 1981 a group of friends in Ottawa founded HOPE to make a difference in their community.

HOPE's flagship Volleyball SummerFest event combines recreational volleyball with live rock entertainment. Each year, more than 25,000 players and spectators flock to Mooney's Bay Beach in Ottawa for the greatest summer party in the region. These participants have helped HOPE raise millions in support of more than 100 local charities.
